Sonic Colours is a 3D Sonic game released on the Wii and DS in 2010. The game, which had a focus on powerups in the form of "Wisps", featured things much different than that of past Sonic titles, such as a lighthearted story (Instead of the serious one found in games like Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic the hedgehog 2006), and new voice actors.

What is notable about Sonic Colours is the reception. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was set out to destroy the Sonic Cycle, but recieved some mixed views, mainly down to the physics. Sonic Colours is the first mainstream Sonic game since 2003 to recieve notably high reception, with reviews averaging out at around an 8/10.

Gameplay is much similar to that of the 2008 title Sonic Unleashed. Sonic runs around in levels that change from a 3D to 2D perspective and Vice versa.

Early on in the game, Sonic discovers wisps, alien creatures that can transform him to help him out in levels. They are mostly to access new areas, instead of being vital (Like the Sword in The Black Knight or the Werehog.)

The game can be played with multiple control methods. Such as the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, the Wii Remote horizontally, and the Classic Controller.

Voice ActorsEdit

Near the games release, Sega announced that the old voice actors (Jason griffith, Amy palant ECT.), with the exception of Mike Pollock (Eggman), have been replaced. Sonic was now voiced By Roger Craig Smith (Ezio and Chris redfeild.) A video was leaked supposdly showing his new voice, causing outrage and making people want the old actors back. It turns out that it was not the real clips, and had been lowered and slowed down. And a cutscene was released to show what he actually sounded like. Many critics say that Roger is the best voice actor since Ryan Drummond.
